What is Included
Weight: | 46 pounds (21 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 50″ long x 28″ wide x 2″ high (127 cm x 71 cm x 5 cm) |
Description: | The universal frame is made from rugged, 11 gauge, 2″ x 2″ (5 cm x 5 cm) square tubular steel with angle steel cross pieces. Stainless steel sleeves are welded into the frame to receive the axle. Multiple, accurately spaced holes allow the quick attachment of various interchangeable accessories. Open, reinforced, tubular frame ends at the front and rear allow the easy interchange of handles, hitches, leverage tools, and carrying racks as well as other attachments. The extra room is intentional to decrease rusting together of components as well as easy interchange. The frame is alkaline washed and zinc undercoated before being powder coated in a hammer tone silver. |
Weight: | 11 pounds (5 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 1-2/3″ diameter x 20″ high x 19-1/2″ long (4.2 cm x 50.8 cm x 49.5 cm) |
Description: | Rugged structural steel pipe bent into a modified ‘S’ shape. Inserts into the sockets at the rear of the universal frame. Powder coated red. Detent pins included. |
Applications: | Used in pairs, these strong handles allow a person to push or pull a Rhino Tool System at a comfortable and efficient working height. When in use, the universal frame stays low and parallel to the ground for optimum load carrying and balance, yet maintains ample clearance. When parked, the handles can be easily pivoted down for rolling or sliding heavy loads onto the frame. |
Weight: | 7 pounds (3.2 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 1.66″ diameter x 28″ long (4.2 cm x 71 cm) |
Description: | Steel pipe with brackets on each end that connects across between the handles and pins in place. |
Applications: | Use the handle cross bar to help push heavy loads by leaning your body into the bar while also pushing on the handles with your hands. Also use it to pull or restrain heavy loads, since it is easier to get a firmer grip on the cross bar. Easily removes to slide timber into position |
Weight: | 4 pounds (1.8 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 3/4″ diameter x 24-3/4″ long (1.9 cm x 62.9 cm) |
Description: | Solid stainless steel with holes for quick release lynch pins at each end. 2 lynch pins included. Stainless steel is more expensive, but it doesn’t rust and corrode like regular carbon steel. |
Applications: | Use as an axle for double wheels mounted outside the frame when the stability of double wheels is needed. Mount a third wheel inside the frame when more flotation is needed for soft ground or packed snow. |
Weight: | 0.05 lb. (23 grams) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 1/4″ diameter x 1-9/16″ long pin (6.35 mm x 39.7 mm) |
Description: | THE NECESSARY LYNCH PINS COME WITH YOUR ORDER, SO ONLY ORDER MORE IF YOU NEED EXTRA. Self-locking, snap-ring pin. Two per each axle |
Applications: | Insert a lynch pin in the hole at each end of the axle to retain the axle and wheel(s). Pushing the snap-ring down locks it over the end of the axle so the lynch pin does not fall out. Lifting the snap-ring unlocks it so the pin may be removed. |
Weight: | 12 pounds (5.4 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 15″ diameter x 4″ wide tire with 6″ long axle hub (40.6 cm x 10.2 cm x 15.2 cm) with larger 3/4″ sealed bearings |
Description: | This is the best tire & wheel assembly we could find for this application. Made by Carefree Tire, this foam filled, puncture proof tire will never go flat. The following is from the Carefree Tire web site: Unlike solid rubber or solid urethane tires, a Carefree Tire provides an “air cushioned” ride without adding any significant weight. As a result, not only will a Carefree Tire last four to ten times longer than a similar pneumatic tire, but require up to 40% less effort to roll. Bearings are pre-greased and double sealed. Rhino Tool Systems uses stainless steel axles to prevent rust, so no grease is needed. Grease attracts abrasive grit and makes it messy to slide a wheel on and off an axle. Knobby tread. Color is black. Size is 4.80/4.00-8. Ball bearings. The manufacturer’s rated load capacity per tire & wheel assembly is 670 pounds, but we are only rating individual wheel capacity at 400 pounds until we have extensive customer feedback of satisfactory, long term performance with individual wheel loadings well in excess of 400 pounds. |
Applications: | Installed as double wheels outside the frame on a long axle. For very heavy loads or better floatation on soft ground and packed snow, three wheels may be installed on a long axle. |
Weight: | 14 pounds (6.4 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 21″ long x 21″ wide x 9″ high (53 cm x 53 cm x 23 cm) |
Description: | Rugged, curved, section of corrugated, double walled, plastic highway culvert. Heavy, reinforced rubber tabs hold the shield in place on the universal frame with a friction fit, yet allow quick removal without tools. These lighter weight, but more rugged culverts are now preferred by highway departments over the heavy, galvanized steel culverts that were previously used. They absorb impacts, maintain their color even if scratched, and do not rust. These wheel shields are made from new highway culverts, but because they are rugged and made to take abuse, they are just dumped off the delivery trucks. Thus they may be slightly scuffed and in some cases dirty. However, with hard use on a Rhino they will stay looking much better than powder coated steel. The manufacturer’s rated load capacity per tire & wheel assembly is 670 pounds, but we are only rating individual wheel capacity at 400 pounds until we have extensive customer feedback of satisfactory, long term performance with individual wheel loadings well in excess of 400 pounds. |
Applications: | Shield for covering double or triple wheel configurations. Use to keep loads piled on the bed of the Rhino from resting on the wheels. |
Weight: | 16 pounds (7.2 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 15″ high x 20-1/4″ wide x 2″ deep (38.1 cm x 51.4 cm x 5 cm) |
Description: | Rugged, expanded steel mesh affixed to a back frame of 1/4″ x 2″ (6.35 mm x 5 cm) flat steel oriented to provide maximum resistance to bending. Mounting brackets on the bottom pin to the universal frame through a single hole on each side. Powder coated red. |
Applications: | The back mesh provides a vertical surface to keep piled loads, like firewood or rocks, from falling toward the handles or hitch. |
Weight: | 5 pounds (2.3 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 1.66″ diameter pipe bent 90 degrees with 6.5″ horizontal leg & `14.9″ vertical leg |
Description: | A structural steel pipe bent into an “L” shape with holes near each end which receive quick attachment pins. One end (usually the shorter leg) attaches to the front of the universal frame or a front extension while additional attachments, such as a post rack, are usually pinned to the top of the longer leg. If you have a post puller, you won’t need common fronts. Powder coated red. Applications use two common fronts. |
Applications: | Two common fronts can also be used in combination with a Post Rack instead of a puller front with the firewood hauler and the firewood hauling trailer for front retention of loads. As with the puller front, they are used in combination with 2 front extensions to provide good load distribution and balance. Usually a bar like attachment, such as a post rack, connects the upper ends of two common fronts. |
Weight: | 4 pounds (1.8 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 1.315″ diameter pipe fabricated into a 3.3″ x 20″ component |
Description: | A structural pipe bar with two short pipe sections welded to the underside. The projections have holes near the ends which receive quick attachment pins (detent pins). The outer ends of the horizontal bar also have holes for receiving detent pins. Powder coated red. |
Applications: | The post rack always pins to the top of two common fronts. |
Weight: | 0.06 lb. (27 grams) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 1-1/4″ long x 3/8″ diameter (31.7 mm x 9.5 mm) (sizes may change) |
Description: | THE NECESSARY DETENT PINS COME WITH YOUR ORDER, SO ONLY ORDER MORE IF YOU NEED EXTRA. Stainless steel pin with a pull ring at one end and a little, spring loaded, stainless steel detent ball near the slightly tapered leading end. The necessary pins come with the components. These are handy little pins for components that are changed frequently, but they can get lost, so you might want to order extra. If you just order a few pins later, shipping and handling costs for these small items make them quite expensive. |
Applications: | Use to rapidly attach components of any RTS configuration, except for the axle, back mesh, handles and trailer hitch. An attachment hole of a component is simply lined up and a detent pin is pushed in. The small detent ball provides resistance to the pin jiggling out of the hole, but allows removal with an easy pull. The small detent ball is amazingly reliable. |
Weight: | 3 pounds (1.4 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 1.66″ & 1.315″ diameter pipe fabricated into a 2″ x 12″ assembly |
Description: | Structural steel pipe fabricated into a sliding bracket. Holes in the short section of larger pipe receive a quick attachment pin (detent pin). One pin ships with each bracket. Powder coated red. |
Applications: | Use this bracket for load retention at the front of the lumber wrangler. You can best understand the use of these uprights by watching the video for the Lumber Wrangler application |
Weight: | 4 pounds (1.8 kg) |
---|---|
Dimensions: | 1-2/3″ diameter x 12-1/2″ long (4.2 cm x 31.8 cm) |
Description: | Stepped down straight structural steel pipe with quick attachment holes at each end. Powder coated red. Detent pin included. |
Applications: | Extends the distance between the front of the main frame and the puller front to facilitate the carrying of large, well balanced loads, such as firewood. The front extension must be used in pairs. Do not use for uprooting or post pulling since much of the mechanical advantage will be lost. Do not use with pry bars due to risk of bending as well as loosing mechanical advantage. Front extensions can also be used to increase the height of the clamp bracket, so that the optional clamp assembly used with a Rolling Lever or Rock & Debris Hauler can be raised higher for clamping large objects like big chunks of wood or upright barrels. The extensions just drop into the upper end of the clamp bracket without the need for pins. |

Your device worked successfully. We used it to transport stone slabs weighing 385 lbs. apiece uphill. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Bought this and it is everything they say it is, really awesome, effortlessly managed very large boulders. Very well made, actually havent seen this kind of quality in a piece of equipment in a very long time. What I really like is the versatility and modular aspect, adding components with such ease that expands the use of the tool.

Received the hand cart yesterday and was out in the snow digging up some rocks to test the rig. It’s exactly what I need! Thanks for making a well built quality tool that will keep on working long after I’m gone.
